As Tanzania’s Christians join their fellows from around the world to celebrate Easter Day, President Samia Suluhu Hassan has advised them to seize the moment as a reminder for their respective responsibilities.
In her Easter Day message to Christians, the Head of State tweeted using her verified Twitter handle @SuluhuSamia saying the day symbolises a God’s constant call for renewal and reforms in people’s lives and their families.
“Wishing you all a very Happy Easter. May the symbol of hope and possibilities that this day carries remind us of our responsibilities to one another, and God’s constant call for renewal and reforms in our lives, our families and our country,” Samia tweeted.
Easter is one of the most important festival which is celebrated by Christians as they remember the resurrection of Jesus Christ who was crucified on the cross for their sins.
“It’s over” are the last words uttered by Jesus before he died to depict that the mission of liberating the men is accomplished.
It is celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon that occurs on or after the vernal equinox.
