President Samia’s Christmas and New Year gifts

PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has donated foodstuffs worth 11.3m/- to 15 home centres for elders and children living in the difficult conditions in Tanga region for Christmas and New Year.

Handing over the gifts on behalf of the Head of State, Tanga Regional Commissioner Mr Omari Mgumba said right now, people are in the preparations for festive season hence the President donated food to the mentioned groups for them to celebrate like others.

He mentioned targeted elders and children centres are those located in Tanga, Kilindi, Muheza and Pangani districts.

Speaking on behalf of others, Isdory Dismas who is hosted at Mwanzange Elders Centre in Tanga thanked President Samia for the presents and wished the Head of State all the best in her leadership.

“We, the elders, are praying to God to protect the President in order to continue doing good things to us,” Mzee Dismas said.
