President Samia Suluhu Hassan is expected to be a guest of honour at the New Year’s Eve on Saturday, December 31, 2022 in Dodoma.
The Cross Over night which will include prayers for the country’s peace and stability has four main objectives where one of them is praying for the Head of State, the government and other leaders.
Chairman of the Great National Vigil, Pastor Derrick Luhende announced this on Friday adding their other goal is to pray for families, marriages, and children and against immoral acts in the society.
Pastor Luhende further mentioned praying for the country’s unity and protection of the country against droughts, epidemics, floods as other goals for the prayer night.
In addition he said that the Cross Over will be held at Nyerere Square in Dodoma Nationally, in Dar es Salaam it will be held at Uhuru Square with the guest of honour being the Minister of State in the Vice-President’s Office, Environment and Union Affairs George Simbachawene.
The Vigil will also be taking place in other parts of the country including, Arusha, Moshi and Singida.
