DAR ES SALAAM: President Samia Suluhu Hassan has today renamed the Centre for Foreign Relations College (CFR) in Dar es Salaam after renowned diplomat Dr Salim Ahmed Salim.
President Samia publicly declared the college’s new name at the Julius Nyerere International Conference Center (JNICC) in Dar es Salaam during the inauguration ceremony of Dr Salim’s digital archive.
“We have agreed to rename the college after Dr Salim, from now henceforth it will be called ‘Dr Salim Ahmed Salim Center for Foreign Relations’,” President Samia declared.
Speaking during the colorful launching ceremony, the Head of State encouraged the various leaders gathered at the event to visit Dr Salim’s site since there is much to learn from the veteran diplomat regarding leadership qualities.
”Many of you here have been self-declared as hustlers…but if you visit Dr Salim’s website you will know that he [Dr Salim] was a real hustler,” the President noted.
She also applauded the former OAU Secretary General for mentoring others to realize their leadership goals.
