President Samia picks three to lead public institutions

Dar es Salaam: President Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed three individuals to lead public institutions.

Chief Secretary Dr. Moses Kusiluka announced the appointments on Wednesday, stating that the Head of State has appointed retired Judge Beatrice Mutungi as the Chairperson of the Tax Revenue Appeals Tribunal (TRAT).

Justice Mutungi succeeds retired Judge Gad Mjemmas, whose tenure has ended.

A statement issued by the Director of Presidential Communications, Ms. Sharifa Nyanga, stated that President Samia has also appointed Dr. Diwani Msemo as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI).

Dr Msemo replaces Dr Julius Mwaiselage, who will be assigned to other duties.

Additionally, President Samia has appointed CPA David Nchimbi as the Chairperson of NMB Bank’s Board of Directors.

CPA Nchimbi succeeds Dr. David Mhede, who currently serves as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries.
