President Samia issues final warning to appointed leaders

PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has warned government leaders that ‘confusion’ among each other will now land them jobless, insisting she is done carrying out minor reshuffles as a result of misunderstanding among members of the cabinet.
Speaking shortly after administering oath of integrity to the newly appointed Minister, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretary, Deputy Permanent Secretary and the Director of Election, President Samia said the same ‘action’ will affect all the top leaders in each ministry.
“Let me make it clear. This will be the last time I carry out minor reshuffles because of misunderstanding among leaders in the same ministry. I will not tolerate this and where there would be confusion I will be forced to take you all down … I mean the Minister, Deputy and Permanent Secretaries,” she said.
On Sunday the Head of State made a shakeup by appointing one minister, one deputy minister while re-allocating other deputy ministers, nine Permanent Secretaries (PSs) and 11 Deputy Permanent Secretaries.
Meanwhile, President Samia appointed Yahya Ismail Samamba to become the Executive Secretary for the Mining Commission.
The appointment comes due to the delay of his confirmation from the relevant authority.
