President Samia hails brave Karume Boys

DAR ES SALAAM: President Samia Suluhu Hassan has congratulated Zanzibar’s Karume Boys for clinching the 2023 CECAFA Under-15 championship.

On her X (formerly Twitter) account, the Tanzania’s Head of State writes: “Congratulations Karume Boys for winning the 2023 CECAFA U-15 title…you have honored us.

“Wishing you the best of luck in your dreams and football journey in upcoming days.”

Karume Boys defeated Uganda 4-3 on post-match penalties to bag the lucrative trophy.

They won all their five matches played at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru, Uganda to show the world that they went there to compete and not to participate.
