President Samia donates 100 mil/- at CCM fundraising gala
DAR ES SALAAM — Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) National Chairperson and President Samia Suluhu Hassan, has donated 100 mil/- during the party’s national fundraising dinner held today at Mlimani City in Dar es Salaam.
The event aims to raise 100 bil/- to support CCM’s campaigns for the October 2025 general election and the construction of the party’s new headquarters.
CCM Secretary General, Ambassador Emmanuel Nchimbi, said the fundraising brought together members and friends of the party from across the country, noting that the funds will help finance election preparations and major party development projects.
Distinguished guests at the main table contributed a total of 270 mil/-, including Dr. Philip Mpango ( 20 mil/-), Dr. Hussein Mwinyi (50 mil/-), Kassim Majaliwa (20 mil/-), Hemedi Suleiman Abdallah ( 20 mil/-), Stephen Wasira (TSh 20 million), Dr. Tulia Ackson (20 mil/-) and Zuber Ally Maulid (20 mil/-).
CCM Zanzibar donated TSh 4 billion and pledged an additional 1 bil/-. GSM Group, represented by CEO and Yanga SC President Hersi Said, contributed 10 bil/-, while Yanga SC itself pledged 100 mil/-.
Evangelist Boniface Mwamposa donated 50 mil/- in support of the campaign and the construction of the party’s new headquarters.
