Tanzania Beach Soccer national team have intensified preparations ahead of the 2022 COSAFA Beach Soccer Championship slated from September 25th to October 1st in Durban, South Africa.
The country’s envoys have been invited to feature in the competition as a guest team and during the past edition; they reached in the finals but lost 3-1 to Mozambique.
The team’s Head Coach Boniface Pawasa believes that this time, they are going to stamp remarkable success basing on the level of drills they are undertaking.
He says the good relationship which exists between South Africa Football Association (SAFA) and Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) earns them a space to be regularly invited.
Additionally, Pawasa says they will use the contest as a development stage of players saying they have injected new blood in the squad which needs such events to get exposure.
His skipper Jaruf Juma also expressed his belief that they are destined to achieve a lot during the tournament bearing in mind that last year, they were finalists.
“Morale among us is high because we want to do better than the way we did in the previous year. We have potential to do wonders and each player is training hard to shine,” says him.
