Police: Going to watch Yanga vs USM Alger? Cheer responsibly

ACP Muliro Jumanne Muliro

Dar es Salaam Police Commander Jumanne Muliro has urged fans to cheer responsibly during CAF Confederation Cup first leg final match.

The country’s envoys Young Africans take on USM Alger at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Sunday evening ahead of the return leg in Algeria next week.

Speaking in Tanzania’s business capital city on Saturday afternoon, Muliro says police will not tolerate misconduct from anybody before, during and after the match.

“We have mobilised enough police officers to fortify security both inside and outside the stadium in order for people to come and leave safely,” he says.

Adding to that, the commander warned that people should avoid walking with a lot of cash in their pockets but rather keep it in electronic money transfer systems.

“There is no need to walk with cash because by doing that, you risk being attacked and robbed.

“I wish Yanga should win with many goals in order to simplify the return leg game and make Tanzanians proud,” concludes Muliro.
