The highly anticipated awards gala will take place on June 1st at the Super Dome, Masaki in Dar es Salaam, promising a night of glamour, recognition and national pride.

The announcement was officially made during a press briefing in Dar es Salaam led by Professor Mkumbukwa Mtambo, Chairman of the NSC Awards Organising Committee, who confirmed that preparations for the prestigious event are in final stages, with everything set for a spectacular evening.

“The NSC Awards are a platform to honour and celebrate the remarkable achievements of Tanzanian athletes and teams who have made their mark on the global stage,” said Professor Mtambo.

Adding to the anticipation, Neema Msitha, Secretary General of the National Sports Council, emphasised the diversity of categories in the 2025 edition.

“This year’s ceremony will feature a wide array of awards, including Best Male and Female Athlete, Best Young Male and Female Athlete, Best Athlete with Disabilities (Male and Female), Best National Team (Male and Female), Best Club Team of the Year (Male and Female) and Best Coach (Male and Female).
