PM embarks on Katavi Region tour to inspect development projects

MPANDA: PRIME Minister Mwigulu Nchemba is expected to conduct a four-day working visit to Katavi Region, where he will inspect the implementation of various development projects and meet with local residents.

Speaking to journalists, Katavi Regional Commissioner Mwanamvua Mrindoko said the visit will begin on March 13, 2026, in Tanganyika District and conclude on March 16, 2026, in Mpanda Municipality.

She explained that during the visit, the Prime Minister will tour and inspect several development projects, including the construction of the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) – Mizengo Pinda Campus, Mgombe Vocational Secondary School, and Katavi Boys Secondary School, along with other ongoing development initiatives in the region.

The Regional Commissioner also called on residents to turn out in large numbers in areas where the Prime Minister will pass and address public gatherings, allowing them to listen to his remarks and present their views and challenges related to development in the region.
