Pinda reiterates call for investment in ports

Former Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda has implored Tanzanians to capitalize on various investment opportunities available in the country, especially in the port sector, to spur the much-envisaged economic growth.

Mr Pinda issued the call on Monday after visiting the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) pavilion at the ongoing Nane Nane exhibitions at John Mwakangale grounds.

The ex-Premier equally underscored the need for public education on the significance of the port investment drive undertaken by the government through the TPA.

Mr Pinda on the other hand commended TPA for participating at the Nane Nane exhibitions and using the platform to educate the public on various services offered by the Authority.

TPA Public Relations and Corporate Communication Manager, Mr Nicodemus Mushi, speaking on behalf of TPA Director General Plasduce Mbossa, expressed gratitude to the former leader for visiting the TPA pavilion.

He informed Mr Pinda that the Authority was continuing with its plans to develop sea and inland ports in order to improve logistics services and enhance efficiency of the port sector.
