MAJALIWA Jackson, a Bukoba Municipality fisherman whose heroic act in Sunday’s plane crash that saved the lives of 24 people aboard Precision Air, has paid a visit to the Parliament.
Speaker of Parliament Dr Tulia Ackson thanked the man behalf fellow fishermen who engaged in the rescue mission.
After been introduced at the august House, lawmakers clapped for the man who was at the Speaker’s gallery with fire and rescue army officers.
Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa awarded the 20-year-old teenager 1m/- during the public funeral ceremony held at Kaitaba Stadium in Kagera region.
The young man has also been enrolled at the Fire and Rescue Army Academy located in Chogo, Tanga Region, ready for fire and rescue training.
