Pamba Coach hails charges for brilliance

THE Head Coach of Pamba, Yusuph Chipo has applauded his squad after their 2-0 victory over Mashujaa of Kigoma in their Championship League match at Nyamagana Stadium over the weekend.

“Actually, the match was difficult,  Mashujaa  dominated the match and they were playing well in the midfield and in the attack position,” he said.

Adding, Chipo said his team created many opportunities but lacked the stability to convert most of the chances they created.

He said in the second half, his team changed and got two chances and managed to score two goals.

“Congratulations to my player Mashaka Khamis, this young man is very talented and very fast, he helped us to score the second goal,” he explained.

He congratulated his team for taking second place in the standings.

Chipo, the former Coastal Union coach, has asked the fans to show up in large numbers in their remaining four games.

Mashujaa FC Head Coach Rashid Chama said his team made two mistakes and they were punished and lost the game.

“We have made two mistakes and our colleagues have punished us. The league is still in bad shape and we are continuing with the race to be able to finish in a good position,”  Chama said.

He said his team missed four players who are suspended after accumulating yellow cards.

In the Championship standings, Pamba are placed second with 51 points after playing 24 games.

The team has won sixteen, drawn five and lost five matches.

Pamba have scored 30 and conceded 17 goals. Pamba will play Mbuni at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha next Saturday.

On April 29th , they will play against African Sports at Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga.

Pamba will return to Mwanza to host JKT Tanzania on  May 6th and a week later on May 13th they will play Fountain Gate Academy. Both matches will be played at Nyamagana Stadium.
