Over 566,000 to write their final CSEE

A total of 566, 840 students are scheduled to sit for their final Form Four national examinations starting Monday, November 14, in Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.

National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) Acting Executive Secretary Mr Athumani Amasi told the reporters on Sunday that a total of 533,001 are school candidates while 31, 839 are private.

He added that of the school candidates, 247,131 are boys, and 287,870 girls.

Among special needs candidates, 62 have visual impairment, 480 with low vision, 19 with hearing impairment, 152 with intellectual impairment, and 139 with physical impairment.

According to Mr Amasi, there is an increase in the number of candidates by 5.36 per cent compared to last year in which 538,024 wrote their exams.

“Preparations for tomorrow’s exam have been completed, including the dispatch of all the examination materials to the regions of Tanzania and Zanzibar,”he said.
