Speaking when receiving the gas cylinders, Ms Mhagama thanked the company for its contribution to the Hanang residents, saying it has come at the right time to help them cook food during this difficult time.

On his part, OGTL’s Head of Sales Department, Mr Shaban Fundi, said the company arrived at the affected area of Katesh to join others in consoling Tanzanians affected by the mudflow which claimed over 80 lives.

“We are aware that our fellow Tanzanians have been seriously affected, and during this time it would be difficult for them to get sources of energy for cooking. Hence, we have come to hand over 200 gas cylinders and stoves,” Mr Fundi stated.

He said the company prays for the deceased to rest in eternal peace, and wishes the injured speedy recovery so that they return to their normal life.
