Ongoing Benjamin Mkapa Stadium facelift thrills PM

DAR ES SALAAM: PRIME Minister Kassim Majaliwa says he is satisfied with the ongoing facelift activities at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The Premier remarks comes after touring the 60,000 capacity arena on Wednesday.
“I am satisfied with the facelift works being done in this first phase and as you know, government allocated 31bn/- for the exercise,” Majaliwa says.
He also thanks the management of Simba for bringing furniture at the facility to speeding up renovations.
“To Simba management, we appreciate what you have done in complementing government’s efforts of face-lifting the venue.
“My plea is that you should not remove them regardless the results against your African Football League (AFL) match versus Al Ahly on October 20th,” says Majaliwa.
Simba host the reigning CAF Champions League (CAF CL) title holders in the inaugural fixture of the eight-team tournament as the PM calls on all Tanzanians to support the Reds on the day.
