One more round, Tanzania qualify Women’s World Cup 2022

Tanzania U19s Women won by one run in a tight contest with their neighbours Rwanda during the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier 2022 at Botswana Cricket Association Oval 1, Gaborone.
Tanzania U19s Women won the toss and chose to bat in the encounter. They fought well and registered 115 runs in all 20 allocated overs.
Rwanda came second to bat, attempting to chase the target but failed. Nevertheless, they managed to collect 114 runs in 20 overs.
Following the victory, Tanzania will meet Uganda, which commands Group B, to secure a ticket for the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup Africa.
The final winner then celebrates a ticket to the World Cup proper in South Africa.
Nine teams contested in the Africa Qualifier for the final slot to South Africa into two groups.
Group A consisted of Tanzania, Rwanda, Nigeria, Malawi and Mozambique, while Group B involved Uganda, Namibia, Sierra Leone, and hosts Botswana to battle.
Tanzania had an incredible journey, thrashing all its group members Rwanda by one run, Nigeria by 115 runs, Malawi by 98 runs and Mozambique by nine wickets.
