NMB Bank has made significant contributions to enhance education and healthcare services in various regions in the country.
In the latest development, the bank extended its philanthropic support in a donation of 250 desks to five primary schools, 50 chairs and tables to a secondary school, and vital medical equipment to a local health centre in the western regions.
The items donated worth 32m/- supported renovations of school infrastructure and create a better studying environment.
At Itilima District of Simiyu Region, NMB Bank provided invaluable support by donating 50 desks to Laini B Primary School.
NMB Bank Western Zone Manager, Seka Urio, said that NMB Bank has always been delighted to address challenges facing the surrounding community, particularly in the healthcare and education sectors.
“When we received these requests to contribute to the development of education in the Itilima District, we were pleased and immediately decided to collaborate with you to be a catalyst for the progress of this important sector in our society, specifically in Simiyu region, Itilima District and particularly at Laini B Primary School,” Seka said.
In Ilemela District of Mwanza Region, the bank extended its generosity by contributing 100 desks to Kayenze and Chasubi primary schools. The schools have been grappling with inadequate resources, hindering the educational experience for the students.
NMB Bank’s donation will alleviate this issue and provide the students with a better learning environment, promoting academic excellence. Furthermore, NMB Bank recognised the importance of healthcare facilities in local communities.
At Isanzu Health Centre, the bank supplied much-needed medical equipment, including diagnostic tools and treatment devices. The contribution will strengthen the health centre’s capacity to provide quality healthcare services to the surrounding community, improving access to essential medical care.
Ilemela District Commissioner, Hassan Masala, has praised NMB Bank and referred to it as the leading bank in contributing to social services, including education, healthcare, and assisting citizens during disasters.
“NMB, you have been a great support in our district. Currently, in Ilemela, we are facing a shortage of 3,869 desks for primary schools. Our district has a total of 89,207 primary school students,” Masala said.
In Igunga District, Tabora Region, The Lender continued its commitment to educational empowerment by providing 100 desks to Mwazumbi and Njiapanda primary schools.
Additionally, the bank generously donated 50 chairs and tables to Nkinga Secondary School in Igunga District. This contribution will enhance the school’s infrastructure and create a conducive environment for secondary education.
