NIC urged to spread wings beyond boarders
DAR ES SALAAM: The National Insurance Corporation (NIC) has been called upon to expand its operations beyond Tanzania’s boarders to remain competitive in the market.
During the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday the representative from the Treasury Registrar’s Office, Mr Aidan Makala emphasized the importance of broadening NIC’s customer base, not just within the public sector but also among private organizations.
“As a national corporation, NIC should not limit itself to working solely with the government. We must ensure we increase our customer base to reach a broader range, including both public service employees and private sector organizations,” the representative said.
