Ngorongoro records a beehive of tourist activities

ARUSHA: THE number of visitors from various countries visiting the Ngorongoro Conservation Area has soared after the end of the General Elections fever.

The Ngorongoro Conservation  Area recorded the highest number of visitors since the return of peace, security, and tranquility.

Speaking at the main gate of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Chief Conservation Officer of the Ngorongoro Tourism and Marketing Services Department, Peter Makutian, said that throughout the Tanzanian General Elections period until November 5, 2025, approximately 1,200 visitors from various countries have continued to visit the reserve and do tourism.

“Ngorongoro continues to receive visitors during this moderate season and we are confident that towards the end of the year holidays, the number will be even bigger,” he said.

One of the visitors from Colombia, Isabella Jerónimol, said she has visited Tanzania with a family of 26 people, where their choice is to see the Ngorongoro Conservation Area due to the tranquility, peace, hospitality as well as the wealth of tourist attractions available.

Dunstan Sospeter from Dar es Salaam, while in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with his family, has expressed his delight at the security situation and witnessing wildlife tourism, sustainable conservation, and various animals that can be seen together. He has also used the opportunity with his family to visit the Olduvai Basin, the shifting sands, and the Ngorongoro Crater.
