AZAM officially launched their pre-season drills on Thursday in Dar es Salaam under their Senegalese Head Coach, Youssouph Dabo.

Dabo, who sees success at Azam, is assisted by Bruno Ferry (France), while Jean Geronimi, also from France, is a physical trainer.

The goalkeeping coach is Khalifa Fall from Senegal, while Ibrahim Diop is a video analyst.

Together, they form a concrete technical staff for the Chamazi-based side.

Their biggest challenge is ensuring to win domestic league titles next season and stamp convincing results in the CAF Confederation Cup.

However, the team is set to depart for a three-week camp in Sousse, Tunisia, from Sunday to July 30th prior to the start of the 2023-24 league season.

Feisal Salum was among the players who attended yesterday’s training session. He is only domestic player Azam signed in this transfer window.

Singida Fountain Gate are heading for a pre-season camp in Tunisia.

Azam and Singida Fountain Gate are eligible to represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup competition, which for the Singida-based club, it will be their first time to parade in such lucrative contest.

Singida Fountain Gate booked a ticket to the CAF inter-club competition after finishing fourth in last season’s Premier League table. It is their time to show the world what they can do in CAF matches.

Azam were the finalists in the Azam Sports Federation Cup(ASFC) in the ended  2023/24 season.

The Chamazi-based Azam have already offloaded ten players whom they saw unfit for the coming league season.

Tanzania will field four envoys in the upcoming CAF Interclub competitions. Young Africans and Simba will participate in the Champions League and both aim to stamp remarkable success.

In that regard, the teams are searching for quality players to inject into their squads as a move to conquer the 2023/24 season.
