TANZANIA: The National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) has nullified results of 31 pupils who sat for their standard seven final exams this year over malpractices.
Announcing the examination results on Thursday, Dr Said Ally Mohammed, NECTA’s Executive Secretary, stated that the decision to nullify the results of 31 pupils (0.002 percent) was made due to their involvement in cheating.

Meanwhile, Dr Mohammed said that NECTA has withheld the results of 360 students who failed to write their exams for all subjects due to various health challenges.
The said pupils, he added, have been given the opportunity to re-sit for their national exams next year.
