NDANDA striker Seleman Kibuta has started his Championship career by firing a warning shot to his fellow strikers saying he will fight as he did in the First League in order to emerge the top scorer.
Kibuta has opened the Championship goals account after scoring his first goal in their 1-1 draw with African Sports at the end of last week.
Kibuta, the former Rayon Sports, Mtibwa, Coastal Union and Simba player, finished top scorer last season in the First League, scoring 17 with Alliance FC of Mwanza.
Kibuta said the goal he scored has given him strength and hopes and he promised to continue to score as usual as he targets to help Ndanda FC earn Premier League promotion.
“I will fight to make sure I continue to score as I used to. I can’t say how many goals I will score but my target is to score many goals,’’he said.
He said that the competition in the Championship is very stiff although it is not very competitive like in the First League because those leagues are difficult, while he believes will do well in the Championship this season.
“The competition in the First League and the Championship is not very stiff, these two leagues are very close to each other. It is very difficult, it is too early to talk about the team because it is the second match, but my team is doing well and I believe we will do well’’ Kibuta said.
Ndanda will play their second home game this Saturday against Mashujaa at Nangwanda Sijaona stadium in Mtwara.
