“The move follows major improvements we have made in our services and products that are more digitally simplified and compatible with the needs of our customers, including corporate ones.

We have decided to meet and update them with a suite of technologically driven products and services that simplify banking, enhance the customer experience and also to receive feedback from them about our services,”.

“We do this more easily because we are the most experienced financial institution in the country with a wide network of branches, agents and digital services.

Our experience in the market gives us the advantage of providing services that are compatible with the legitimate needs of our customers,”’ he said.

He mentioned some of the services and products offered by the bank to large customers and the government that include financial markets services, debt management, corporate finance as well as government payment solutions such as GePG and MUSE while mentioning that the bank commands over 10 per cent of total Government collections, and it is targeting to reach 25 per cent by 2025.

According to Mr. Meitaron, among the important projects that the bank has been giving priority to are those strategically designed for development of natural resources, infrastructure, energy, agriculture and communication sectors.

Commenting on the bank’s move to meet customers in the region the Arusha City Council Executive Director Mr Hargeney Chitukuro said the meeting came at the right time when the region is undergoing a major economic revolution due to the great prosperity of the tourism sector as a result of the efforts made by President Samia Suluhu Hassan through her Royal Tour initiative.

Speaking during the occasion, one of the participants Ms. Jully Bede Lyimo from the Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) thanked the bank for organizing the meeting while expressing her satisfaction to the service improvements that the bank continues to show. She further urged the bank to invest more in the tourism sector.
