Mwinyi pushes for timely implementation of development projects

ZANZIBAR: PRESIDENT Hussein Ali Mwinyi has emphasised the need for efficiency and timely implementation of strategic development projects across the country to ensure they meet their objectives for public benefit.

Dr Mwinyi made this statement during a meeting at the Zanzibar State House with a delegation from the Oman National Energy Centre (NEC), which is in Zanzibar to inspect various projects they support.

Oman is currently involved in several initiatives, including water and energy projects, as well as the renovation of the House of Wonders in Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

“The Revolutionary Government is committed to providing maximum cooperation to ensure the successful completion of these projects, which are vital for Zanzibar’s social and economic development,” Dr Mwinyi stated.

He encouraged the delegation to communicate any challenges they encounter during project implementation so that the government can address them promptly.
