Mwinyi leaves for Riyadh to represent Samia at global tourism summit

Zanzibar President, Hussein Ali Mwinyi is expected to leave the country today, Saturday (November 26, 2022) for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to represent President Samia Suluhu Hassan at the 22nd World Travel and Tourism Council Global Summit (WTTC).

The summit will kick off on Sunday, 28 November, 2022 and last until December 1, 2022.

The 2022 Global Summit, herald by the theme: ‘Travel for A Better Future’, aims to bring together people from around the world who embrace the same empathy, values and ambitions in solving many social, environmental and economic challenges by creating future sustainable and inclusive growth and shared prosperity.

According to WTTC’s website, the annual Global Summit is the most influential Travel and Tourism event on the calendar, and this year, industry leaders gathered with key government representatives to continue aligning efforts to support the sector’s recovery and move beyond to a safer, more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future.
