Mwinyi graces business conference

MORE than 100 research findings will be submitted for discussion today during the 3rd business and economic development conference to be officiated by Zanzibar President, Dr Hussein Mwinyi.

Briefing the media here on Monday, College of Business Education (CBE) Rector, Prof Emmanuel Mjema said the conference organised by the college goes with the theme Trade, Investment and Innovation for economic transformation.

He said the research findings to be submitted today are both carried out locally and internationally and will be discussed by a number of scholars in various fields.

The conference preceded the 57th CBE Dodoma graduation ceremony to be held on November 19th this year, with more than 2,000 graduates lined up for the event.

Prof Mjema said a number of papers with topics on domestic and international trade, foreign direct investment, innovation and entrepreneurship, trade facilitation and economic integration, and the blue economy will be up for discussion.

He said the aim of the academic conference is to build capacity and network among researchers and key stakeholders in Africa for economic development through business and trade.

Prof Mjema said some of the research findings to be submitted today are of the masters’ students as part of the requirement to publish them in a journal in fulfillment of their degrees.
