ZANZIBAR: ZANZIBAR President Dr Hussein Mwinyi has assured the newly appointed Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation and his team of maximum cooperation in pushing the diplomatic economy agenda.
Dr Mwinyi hailed the newly appointed leaders in the ministry, following their recent appointment by the Union President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, when met them at the Zanzibar State House. The team went to introduce themselves.
“I congratulate you for the appointment to hold such an important Ministry in our country. I wish you all best in serving us at this period of great reforms,” Dr Mwinyi said as he assured them of maximum cooperation especially in propelling the diplomatic economy agenda.
The Isles President reiterated that his government is satisfied with the level of cooperation it gets from the government institutions of the United Republic of Tanzania, especially institutions that falls under Union matters.
Mr Makamba assured President Mwinyi of full cooperation and taking his advice on board.
Ambassador Dr Kennedy Gastorn who was appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation (dealing with East African affairs) was also among the delegation to Zanzibar State House.
