BUKOBA: THE Kagera Regional Commissioner (RC), Ms Fatma Mwassa, has urged residents in the region and all Tanzanians to take full advantage of the services offered by Samia Legal Aid Campaign.
She made the call over the weekend, while briefing reporters ahead of the campaign launch, which will take place today in Bukoba Municipality.
“The Samia Legal Aid Campaign team has already arrived in Kagera to provide the much-needed services. Residents in Kagera and all Tanzanians, should make use of the free services offered through Samia Legal Aid,” she said.
Ms Mwassa noted that many residents face challenges such as landrelated disputes, marriage issues and inheritance matters.
The ten-day campaign will officially launch today at Uhuru grounds in Bukoba Municipality.

The Samia Legal Aid Campaign team will then extend services to the eight district councils of Bukoba DC, Muleba, Biharamulo, Ngara, Karagwe, Kyerwa, Missenyi and Bukoba MC.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Samia Legal Aid Campaign team, Ms Easter Msambazi said that 24 regions have already benefited from the initiative.
She explained that in Kagera, the team plans to reach at least 30 villages and ten wards in each district council, with the ultimate goal of reaching approximately 75 per cent of the region’s population of 2.9 million.
“The Samia Legal Aid team consists of legal experts, including legal officers from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Tanganyika Law Society (TLS), Registration Insolvency and Trusteeship Agency (RITA) and private advocates. Citizens are warmly invited to take advantage of these free services,” Ms Msambazi said.
