Young Africans have picked a 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs in an international friendly match at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Saturday
Kennedy Musonda made the difference after netting a late first half goal to seal the victory thanks from Maxi Nzengeli assist.
Prior to the goal, Musonda missed two clear chances.
“I think the more you train, the more you play good football. We are still knowing each other well and the best way to do that is by playing matches,” Musonda says after the game.
The match climaxed the ‘Wiki ya Mwananchi’ celebrations and proceeded a number of entertaining activities lined up on the day.
Up next, Yanga will switch to begin preparations for the upcoming Community Shield semifinal encounter versus Azam.
The two sides meet on August 9th at Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga to determine a side that will venture into the finals.
The other tense last four duel will see Simba playing Singida Fountain Gate FC at the same venue a day later.
