ZANZIBAR: Be it day or night, Sauti za Busara pulsed with life and energy. By the third day, the standing ovation had become inevitable. The festival opened under daylight at Fumba Town in Zanzibar, and from the first note, it was clear that the music would command attention.

South African vocalist Pilani Bubu was nothing short of phenomenal, sending the crowd into a frenzy as she took the stage under the clear afternoon sky. At opening her eyes closed, letting her voice rise and fall with ease, drawing out the slow notes before lifting them high.

Dressed in a soft yellow gown and crisp white shoes, she carried beauty not just in her voice but in every movement, every pause.

The sound team followed her lead, matching each note, amplifying each emotion, yet never overshadowing her. She sang from the depths, and you felt every vibration in your chest.
