Mungai backs Mbowe on re-election

DAR ES SALAAM: CHADEMA Iringa Regional Chairman, William Mungai, has called on outgoing national party chairman Freeman Mbowe to run for re-election.
He made these remarks during a press briefing today, urging the outgoing chairman not to be discouraged by the noise on social media. Mungai underscored that he and other regional party leaders continue to trust and support Mbowe.
“We are here today to offer our full support to our chairman and we want to reassure him we are in this together.”
“To remove Mbowe now would be nothing less than a grave mistake,” he noted.
Mungai further commended Mbowe for being an exemplary leader who during his tenure he supported the part financially.
“His legendary commitment has helped build an institution that serves as a refuge for supporters from all political backgrounds,” Mungai said.
“This institution is not only a safe haven but also a source of inspiration for the youth passionate for politics.”
Further, Mungai urged fellow party leaders to strengthen democracy across different political platforms.
