MUM college seeks academic cooperation with Indonesia’s Makassar University

INDONESIA: THE Muslim University of Morogoro(MUM) has begun strategies to have academic cooperation with the Indonesia’s Makassar University.

A delegation of senior lecturers from the Muslim University of Morogoro (MUM), led by Dr. Pazi Mwinyimvua Semili, visited the Tanzanian Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia where they held discussions with Tanzania’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Macocha Moshe Tembele, focusing on the importance of establishing academic cooperation between MUM and Muhammadiyah University of Makassar.

The meeting particularly centered on potential collaboration in joint research projects and exchange programs for both lecturers and students, aimed at enriching academic knowledge and experience on both sides. This partnership is expected to contribute significantly to improving the quality of education and research at both institutions.

The MUM delegation is in Indonesia on a working visit, following an invitation from the Asia-Muslim Charity Foundation (AMCF). While in the country, they also had the opportunity to visit Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, where they engaged in further discussions with the university’s leadership on strengthening institutional collaboration.

Additionally, the Asia-Muslim Charity Foundation has agreed to provide equipment support for MUM’s campus radio station. The radio station plays a key role in offering practical training for students pursuing Public Relations and Communication studies. The support is expected to enhance the station’s capacity and the quality of training offered.

This visit marks an important step toward fostering international collaboration and improving academic and practical training for both students and lecturers at the Muslim University of Morogoro. The anticipated cooperation is set to bring mutual benefits and contribute to the broader development of education and scholarship.
