PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has made a minor reshuffle of Regional Commissioners (RCs) and District Commissioners (DCs) to further enhance the activities of the government.
The reshuffle involved the ap- pointment of a new Regional Commissioner, District Commissioner and carried out the transfer of two RCs.
A statement issued on Tuesday by the Director of Presidential Communications, Ms Zuhura Yunus indicated that the President has appointed Mr Said Mtanda to be the RC for Mara and Mr Kenani Kihongosi as the DC for Urambo in Tabora Region.
“Prior to his appointment as Mara RC, Mr Mtanda was the Urambo DC and will be taking over from Major General Suleiman Mzee who will be allocated other tasks,” said Ms Yunus.
Likewise, Mr Kihongosi will be taking over from Mr Mtanda who will assume the role for Mara RC.
She, however, noted that the President has transferred Ms Queen Sendiga who formerly served as Rukwa RC to become the Regional Commission- er for Manyara Region.
On the other hand, Mr Charles Makongoro has been transferred from his early station of Manyara to become the Regional Commissioner of Rukwa Region.
“The changes will be effective immediately… the swearing in of the new Regional Commissioner will take place tomorrow (today) at 4 pm in the State House,” she said.
