Msemwa is new planning commission executive secretary

DAR ES SALAAM: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed Dr Fred Msemwa as the new Executive Secretary of Tanzania’s Planning Commission.

According to a statement released yesterday by the Directorate of Presidential Communications, Dr Msemwa will be sworn in on a date to be announced.

Prior to this appointment, Dr Msemwa served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Watumishi Housing Investments (WHI).

In addition to Dr Msemwa’s appointment, President Samia also appointed Professor Philipo Sanga as the new Head of the Institute of Adult Education.

Prof Sanga, who previously served as a senior lecturer at the institute, succeeds Professor Michael Ngumbi, whose term has expired.

Furthermore, Ambassador Susan Kaganda has been assigned to a new duty station as Tanzania’s High Commissioner to Zimbabwe
