MSD commends its Zanzibar agency’s operations in Tanzania Mainland and the Isles

ZANZIBAR: STAFF from the Medical Stores Department (MSD) Forecasting Unit have conducted a working visit to the Zanzibar Central Medical Stores Agency (CMSA) to assess how MSD services contribute to the agency’s operations and to discuss operational challenges affecting the availability of health commodities for citizens in both Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.

Speaking during the visit, CMSA Acting Director General Lulu Sheikh Abdulrahman said the agency highly values its long-standing partnership with MSD, particularly through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that enables CMSA to procure medicines and other health products from MSD. She noted that the collaboration has played a significant role in improving the availability of essential medicines and medical supplies for the people of Zanzibar.

Abdulrahman stated that MSD has consistently provided satisfactory services throughout the partnership, a factor that has enabled CMSA to continue sourcing various medicines and health commodities through the department. She emphasized that the relationship remains crucial in ensuring that healthcare services are delivered efficiently and without disruption.
