Mpanzu claims he has more to offer Simba

DAR ES SALAAM: DESPITE a brilliant performance in his recent matches, Simba’s winger, Elie Mpanzu said his performance is just 70 percent of his capacity within the club.

Mpanzu joined Simba during the mini-transfer window, and has since, featured in the second round of the Mainland Premier League. So far, he has scored two goals and provided one assist in eight matches, accumulating 621 minutes of play.

Analyzing his performance, Mpanzu expressed satisfaction with his contributions to the team but acknowledged that he has yet to reach his full potential.

“I’m delighted to see Simba performing well and being part of the players making a positive impact within the team. However, I haven’t reached 100 percent of my ability yet; I’m currently at 70 percent. I believe that if I continue to get opportunities, I will reach the level I aim for,” Mpanzu said.

He also expressed confidence in Simba’s chances for success in the remaining fixtures, as the team’s goal is to win the championship.

Regarding the draw against Azam FC, Mpanzu said it was a setback, but the team is now focused on the next match against Coastal Union.

“The draw against Azam FC hurts us, but we’re moving forward. Now we’re preparing to secure three points against Coastal Union,” Mpanzu added.

Simba will be away against Coastal Union in the next match scheduled for Saturday, March 1 this year, at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha.
