Morocco: Cold weather not obstacle to Stars
AZERBAIJAN: TAIFA Stars interim coach, Hemed Suleiman alias ‘Morocco’ said his side is adapting well to the freezing weather condition in Azerbaijan ahead of their two FIFA Series matches.
The country’s envoys have intensified drills as they want to do well in the lined-up friendly matches against Bulgaria at Dalga Arena in Baku tomorrow before playing Mongolia on Monday next week.
“As you can see, the weather here is extremely cold, almost 8 degrees Celsius, but the good thing is that we are adapting well to it.
“Of course, for players who have come directly from Tanzania, it is a bit difficult to adapt easily but despite that, we are all well focused to stamp success from the two matches,” Morocco said.
Moreover, he said both games they are set to play will be played under similar weather conditions, hence they have to get used to it to excel.
“In general, we are progressing well and I do not think that the conditions will have a big impact during our matches and hopefully, we are set to do well,” he remarked.
Morocco will be assisted by Juma Mgunda in navigating the team throughout their two friendlies as Head Coach Adel Amrouche is still serving his suspension from the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
