FORMER Uzini MP and Businessman, Mohamed Raza has died at the Agha khan Hospital in Dar es Salaam where he was undergoing treatment. He was 61 years-old.
According to information from a close family member, Mr Raza died in the morning around 11 am and will be buried at the Kisutu cemeteries in Dar es Salaam.
Early in May this year, Zanzibar President Hussein Ali Mwinyi visited the iconic businessman who was admitted at the hospital.
He was elected in February 2012 to represent the Uzini constituency in the Zanzibar House of Representatives and sworn into office on 28 March 2012.
ZANZIBAR President Hussein Ali Mwinyi has sent a condolence message to the fallen former Uzini MP and Businessman Mohamed Raza who died in Dar es Salaam today at the age of 61.
According to the statement issued by Zanzibar government Chief Spokesperson, Mr Charles Hilary, Dr Mwinyi also extended his condolences to the family encouraging them to be patient during the trying times.
