Mohamed Hussein bids farewell after 11 years at club
						DAR ES SALAAM: SIMBA SC’s captain Mohamed Hussein has officially parted ways with the club after more than a decade of loyal service, bringing an emotional chapter to a close in the Tanzanian giants’ ongoing squad reshuffle.
Hussein, affectionately known as “Zimbwe Jr,” confirmed his departure via a heartfelt message on his Instagram page, marking the end of his 11- year spell with the club.
His exit comes as part of a broader wave of changes at Simba, which has also seen the departure of several first-team players including Deborah Fernandez, Augustine Okejapha, Kelvin Kijili, Hussein Kazi, Fabrice Ngoma, Valentino Norma and veterangoal keeper Aishi Manula.
In his farewell message titled “Farewell t o the PRIDE (Group of Lions)”, Hussein reflected on his journey at the club, writing in Swahili:

“Nearly 11 years of joy, sorrow, celebration, applause, cheers and heartbreak in the jungle. With great loyalty, professionalism and hard work to defend the club’s badge – that was my foundation and goal. As the elders say, everything with a beginning must have an end and today I say goodbye officially.”
Hussein cited personal growth, professional development and new aspirations as the driving factors behind his decision to move on.
He expressed gratitude to the club’s leadership, coaching staff, operational team and fans who have stood by him throughout his tenure.
“I especially thank the fans for being with me all this time. As you have loved me, I have loved you too and I believe you will continue to support me,” he added
