MKCB to promote digital platforms, launches new branch

DAR ES SALAAM: MKOMBOZI commercial bank plans to promote use digital platforms to create easy accessibility of the banking services for its customers.

Speaking at the launch of St Joseph new branch and the bank’s head office, in Dar es Salaam on Thursday, Managing Director Respige Kimati said in Dar es Salaam on Thursday that they focus on digital platforms because they want to expand their services all over the country.

“We decided to focus on digital platforms and collaborate with different mobile networks in order to expand our banking services,” he explained.

Mr Kimati said on the issue of expanding their services their bank has already established 700 Agency services (MKOMBOZI AGENCY) in different places in Tanzania.

“Internet banking, Mkombozi mobile service and the launch of bank application (App) are one of the services that have been established,” he said.

On his part, the Dar es Salaam Archdiocese Archbishop Jude Thaddeus Ruwa’ich urged the bankers to have a righteous heart, integral, creative, and self-disciplined.

“I would love to see our bankers have the righteous heart and continue to make sure that our bank is well known all over the country,” he said.

Archbishop Ruwa’ich also urged them to keep doing the good work so that the bank can continue to reach in every district, region and possibly continue to invest outside the nation.

Elias Massawe, one of shareholders at Mkombozi bank, is pleased with the bank service as he said the bank is doing a good job to ensure customers are satisfied with the services provided.

“Mkombozi bank is doing a great job, some of my fellow shareholders are also pleased with how the bank is doing its job and so do I,” he said.

Mkombozi Commercial Bank’s target markets are small and medium sized entrepreneurs, companies, SACCOS, social enterprises such as schools, universities and corporations.
