Minister suspends two directors over funds mismanagement

DODOMA: The Minister of State in the President’s Office – Regional Administrations and Local Governments (PO-RALG), Mohamed Mchengerwa, has suspended two district executive directors (DEDs) over mismanagement of development project funds.

A statement from the Ministry’s communications unit on Tuesday identified the suspended DEDs as Butamo Ndalahwa (Kibaha-Coast region) and Lena Nkaya (Ifakara-Morogoro).

They have been suspended to facilitate a thorough investigation into allegations leveled against them, including the failure to manage funds for projects in their respective localities.

The statement notes that Mr Ulanga Mchengerwa directed all district directors to fulfill their duties diligently and take action against swindlers.
