Young Africans says top striker Fiston Mayele could miss their NBC Premier League fixture against Tanzania Prisons at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Sunday.
At a pre-match briefing on Saturday afternoon, the team’s Assistant Coach Cedric Kaze insists that rotation of players in tomorrow’s game is inevitable as some are suspended while others are injured.
“Mayele and Jesus Moloko have a 50-50 chance to play while Dickson Job is suspended hence will not be part of the squad for the match.
Bakari Mwamnyeto is yet to fully recover and Bernard Morrison is not completely well.
“The good news is the return of Farid Musa and Juma Shabani who are already on the ground preparing for the important match of which we need to win in order to get back on the right track of chasing for the title,” he says.
He then cemented that people should expect a different performance to that which succumbed to a 2-1 loss to Ihefu in their previous league game in Mbeya.
On his part, Tanzania Prisons skipper Benjamin Asukile says they are well prepared for the big match and are here with one purpose to win the game.
“We are in good health fully focused on tomorrow’s game and basing on the level of preparations we have had, we hope to stamp success,” remarks him.
Concerning the 20m/- reward they have been pledged if they overcome Yanga, Asukile says it has nothing to do with the results of the match because it does not go on the pitch to play football.
“The promised reward is just a fueling factor for us to play lungs out but it cannot change anything during the game,” he says.
