Mbeya City FC launches hunt for U-19 talent

MBEYA: MBEYA City FC have announced open tryouts for young players under the age of 19.
The club’s Executive Secretary, Ally Nnunduma said the programme’s goal is to find, develop and nurture undeveloped football talent that could serve as the foundation for the team’s future.
He noted, “Young football players from across the country are welcome to participate in the trials, which will be held at the Isyesye Grounds in Mbeya from July 24 to 26.”
“The club’s dedication to inclusivity and diversity in its youth development programme is reinforced by the selection process’s lack of regional restrictions.”

Nnunduma underscored that during the trial period, participants who are coming from outside Mbeya region will be in charge of their own lodging, meals and transportation.
He added that each participant must also bring their own athletic attire, such as boots and uniforms appropriate for practice and competition.
“The programme is a component of Mbeya City’s larger strategy to fortify its foundation by implementing a systematic system for youth development. In addition to helping the senior squad, the club wants to develop a solid talent pipeline that will advance Tanzanian football overall.”
