Young Africans have sniffed CAF Confederation Cup semifinals after whipping Rivers United 2-0.

The action packed first leg encounter at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Nigeria on Sunday afternoon proceeds the reverse leg clash at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Sunday.

Deadly striker Fiston Mayele sealed a second half brace to power his side to an encouraging away victory courtesy of two assists from skipper Bakari Mwamnyeto.

The center-back had a good game for the visitors no wonder he succeeded to create the two sweet assists which yielded two beautiful goals.

For Mayele, he is currently the top goal scorer in the confederation cup with five goals to his name and has since scored 50 goals in all competitions at the Jangwani based club.

With the outcome, the country’s envoys are better placed to qualify for the confederation cup last four category for the first time in club’s history.

Any positive results to be recorded in the upcoming fixture will see them making it to the semis.
