DAR ES SALAAM: Marco Joseph, an artist from the Zabron Singers, passed away on Wednesday night at the Jakaya Kikwete Heart Institute (JKCI) in Dar es Salaam, where he was receiving treatment, a gospel group member, Japhet Zabron, confirmed the news.

Before joining the group, Joseph had recorded several hit songs, including “Ni Wewe,” “Tofauti,” and “Daktari.”
Despite recording many gospel songs, “Upo Single” and “Mkono wa Bwana” were the ones that introduced the group both within and outside the country.
The group’s song “Mkono wa Bwana” was among those that dominated Dr William Ruto’s presidential campaign in Kenya last year.
The group members were invited to perform during the inauguration of Kenya’s President, William Ruto.
