Mara Family Bonanza head to brighten Dar

PREPARATIONS for Mara Family Bonanza are in the final stages ahead of the spectacular events later this month. There is everything to enjoy during the Mara Family Bonanza whose major ingredients are all major forms of entertainment and cultural activities.

Brake Point Makumbusho in Dar es Salaam is the venue of the November 27 Bonanza. Mara Family Bonanza is more than just a party but a place for those born and hail from Mara region meet to celebrate the region’s cultural heritage.

The Director of East Coast Africa Music, Mgolle Mfungo, who is the organiser of the event, told the ‘Daily News’ in Dar es Salaam, recently that the event is aimed to promote Mara region cultural norms, entertainment and develop business interaction among the participants.

“We look forward to creating a space for the people of Mara region and others to interact, gain more insights of the various cultural activities existing in the region and improve mental health among the attendees.

The famous Mara traditional dances like the ‘litungu’ of the Kurya, ‘Ndolela’ dance of the Wajita and ‘Ohangla’ will dominate the central stages,” she said.

She added the event will feature various activities ranging from live music, Mara cuisine and buffet, exhibition stands for business, barbeques, kids sports and play area among many others.

The organiser invites all people of Mara who adore cultural activities to participate in the event, assuring of a flurry of events and excitement.

According to her, notable figures from Mara include the Inspector General of Police Camillus Wambura, former Attorney General Judge Frederick Werema, former Prime Minister Joseph Warioba and many others are expected to take part at the event.
