Makata replaces Mkwasa as new Ruvu Shooting coach

NBC Premier League side Ruvu Shooting have picked Mbwana Makata as the team’s new trainer with immediate effect.

He succeeds Boniface Mkwasa who has resigned from coaching the side following a series of unconvincing results.

Breaking the news on Tuesday afternoon in Dar es Salaam, the club’s Information Officer Masau Bwire says Makata is a right candidate to navigate them to safety.

“Soon after receiving his resignation letter, efforts to get his successor began and I am pleased to announce that Makata is our new coach,” Bwire says.

He also reveals that the club had trust in Mkwasa despite unconvincing results as they hoped that in the second round of the season, good performance will be restored.

According to him, in their past ten matches, they have just picked one point, a trend he believes will change in the second round.

Currently, Ruvu Shooting are in 15th place at the table with 11 points after stamping three wins, two draws and ten defeats.
